A very poorly Salt
Our worries about Salt were sadly realised when over the weekend we could see that her breathing was becoming ratherlaboured and her respiratory rate faster. She was also eating less and less. We spoke to the vet on Monday and on Tuesday Salt was diagnosed with pneumonia and kept in overnight. Our conversation with the vet had not been a positive one but Salt surprised us all by seriously responding to the medication she was on and today when we collected her, she was a whole heap better.
Relaxed at Home
Sadly though, her small size indicate that there may be an underlying health issue such as a weak heart. We now have to give her a lot of tlc, get lots of food inside her and hope that she begins to gain in strength. It is going to be one day at a time: she has been very poorly and we are not out of the woods yet!!
