1st turkey egg
Unbelievably, we had our first turkeg egg today, the exact same date as last year - that is quite extraordinary. We are not sure who laid it but with all the activity from Napoleon, we are fairly sure we will have pretty good fertility this year. The question is though, will we be able to hatch naturally or need to make use of the incubators??
They incidentally are full of goose eggs, set on Friday, after we decided that none of our four girls were heading towards broodiness at all. Margo seems to be on the verge but she has been so for 2 weeks now. Our worry however, is that for some eggs, laid almost 4 weeks ago, we may be too late!!! We will know when we candle them on Thursday or Friday so need to hold out breath till then...
