Weather
The terrible weather continues: today we had wind, rain, hail and enough sunshine to give us vague hope, before dashing it all away with a fercious outpouring of frozen rain, that actually really hurt!! Twice we got caught, both times when out with the dogs, who liked it just as much as we did - i.e. not at all!!
BUT, we moved the alpacas in with the sheep now that the numbers are halved after yesterday's lamb sales and we moved the rhea to the much drier far 2-acre field (to be known now as the sheep field - why - just so we can be even more confused about where things are - obviously..) and both these moves made us feel we are doing the best we can to give the animals a reasonable life despite the wet, the cold and the mud!!! The sheep and alpacs (deliberate typo) do look rather cozy and in the 'sheep field' the rhea have access to a field shelter that doesn't have the equivalent of the Somme immediately outside it!!
It will be warm and dry one day!!!
