We are massively thrilled with the ducks this year: the introduction of Orange, our Chocolate drake, has given us all sorts of colours and with 50 ducklings in total, the variety is fabulous! Orange has obviously been a bit more active than Grape, our black and white male, as we have a lot more browns than blacks this year. The different shades are wonderful and it is really exciting to see them change as the birds grow. Some of the browns were born yellow and some a pale brown and it seems that the former end up with more white in them.! We sold our first ones yesterday, to friends in Cornwall. They took 2 lavenders, a brown and a black - they are their first ducks and they were mega chuffed!
