We rather like these beauties: they are Leghorn Orpingtom crosses and some are developing an amazing lemony coat. Our chicken hatching plan this year was to only hatch from coloured eggs and so these are all from our two leghorns and their white eggs, In theory they may lay white themselves as white tends to dominate brown (Orpington colour), We may well keep some of these but not sure which sex yet – we possibly wouldn’t hatch from them so any females would be okay (even though we have their dad). On the other hand, a cockerel may be rather nice to have too….
