Of course, a downside to chickens bringing up ducklings is their reluctance to go outside in the wet (yes, June is still very wet). So whilst we may tell our duckling 'chicken' mums that the ducklings will be fine to go into the rain and all those puddles, they look at us as if we were mad. The face on Red here (our Red Leghorn cross) is clearly saying: 'You wnat us to do what?'
The jury is out as to what the ducklings themselves think?
