All change!
All change this weekend as we moved the cows and sheep the bottom 2-acre and gave the alpacas the full run of the mini paddocks in both the three and two acre fields. The idea is that the alpacas will be on hand in case Mr Fox comes visiting the poultry paddock again, whilst the sheep and more importantly the lambs, are now grazing on a much cleaner field. This is because the cows had been on there and are now on again, doing their usual parasitic clear up (i.e. eating any worms/eggs the sheep/ goats last shed in the grass but not being affected by them).
Relaxed at Home
We are going to miss seeing the lambs from the house but the grass in both our 2-acre fields is getting quite log now and really does need grazing!! We are in danger in fact, of having too much grass - but we are not admitting this to amyone!!!
