Goosey Guarding!
We have ten goose eggs in the goose stall now in 2 separate nests and we need to decide if we are going to give some to our broody chickens (we currently have 3/4) and so encourage the geese to carry on laying. We want them to raise their own but if we let them go broody on a full clutch now they will of course stop laying so what we really need to do is take some away so they will lay more, and that way we will maximize the numbers of goslings – hopefully!!!
Relaxed at Home
Slyvester 2 is already getting in protective mode as the photo shows – he positioned himself beautifully between us and Gloria and Guinevere.
Sylvester 1 is rather more fond of shadowing Jack and hoping for a cuddle!!!
