First frost!
Today we had our first real frost! It was all rather beautiful. Thin layers of ice were easily broken in drinkers and duck ponds and the inside hosepipes were thankfully not frozen. The animals were all fairly un-phased by it and any concerns we had that our stock may get cold as winter sets in, were instantly dispelled as the geese paddled in amongst floating bits of ice, the rhea sat on frosted glass and the goats left the confines of their barn and headed outside.
Relaxed at Home
The sun shone and we watched in awe as the landscape slowly changed from white back to green: just wonderful!!
