Storm Callum!
It may not look it but the weather has turned these last few days – Storm Callum has been causing mayhem around the country with flooding and severe winds. We've escaped lightly and all we have had to do is open up the field shelters for the stock overnight and then treat them with hay during the day. The cows were hilarious, if not a little scary this afternoon. As Jack drove the quad bike into their fiekd, they ran alongside it pulling out chunks of hay as it was on the move!!!
Relaxed at Home
In good news today, we are happy to announce that the new barn is nearly finished and so we inch ever closer to being able to organize under-cover protection for all our stock, all in ONE place!! We hope we won't need this but it is great to have the flexibility to do so.
Already the new barn is proving a hit mind you as now have access at the back as well as the front and so can take hay and straw out in the 3-acre fields 'without' having to get it passed the goats (and so being mugged!)
We are looking forward to sorting it all properly once finally finished.
