One of our grey rhea, currently the biggest and so maybe a male, has discovered he likes corn in water. We feed it this way to the ducks and geese as they like to take water to help the corn go down. Up until now, none of the rhea have ever joined in at corn time. We feed the chickens and turkeys on the woodchip outside the stables and the rhea have never really shown an interest in the corn there either. Quite why this one enjoys taking his corn from the duck and geese truggs who knows, the others tend to just sit and watch. It’s all very unexplained but great to try to work out!!
