The perfect mum
Napoleona is such a great turkey mum. This is her second brood this year and these 13 are all doing really really well, spending their days free ranging in the bottom of the poultry paddock and their evenings learning to perch on the ‘big’ perches in the stable, and not get pushed off by the bigger birds! We adore watching them and listening to the constant chatter and laughing at their vague attempts to catch the numerous small moths that frequent the long grasses.
Relaxed at Home
All of these poults are sold and will probably be leaving us quite soon – sad in a way but then we have eight eggs under Victoria and two under Hedgerow Broody and so hopefully, we can look forward to more hatching out in a week or so!
