Queenie and her poults
Our latest turkey poults are six days old and Queenie is now taking them outside each day for a good scratch and a roam. In amongst the woodchip just outside the stables, rich pickings are to be found and Queenie is doing what all good broodies do: showing her chicks how to get the best takings. And bless them, they are listening and all the time making a racket!! Queenie is very soft with her chunterings but the poults more than make up for it.
Relaxed at Home
We don’t have any pure Boubron Red poults it seems – we slightly lost the plot as who laid what and where but DO now have some pure eggs under Napoleona in the barn. We will candle them in a few days and find out which ones are fertile.
