Sylvester and Gloria
We are getting Sylvester and Gloria (nine days and 37 days old respectively) to spend as much time as possible, although it still has to be supervised. We are not entirely sure that Gloria wouldn’t hurt him, not because she was being aggressive but because a regular peck from her might be a bit harsh when he is so much smaller. She is not after all, his mum. Having said that, he has imprinted on her as much as on us, which is what we want to happen and so we are confident that as he gets bigger they will be able to start to live together!
Relaxed at Home
When apart, she roams the poultry paddock free and he is in a run. At night they are currently coming back to the house and their cages but once the rat proof aviary is finished, they will start to use that.
What is sweet is that Gloria can often be found lying next to the run with Sylvester lying down the other side!!! So they do love each other really!!!
