Beautiful AN kids!!
We had finished the morning rounds and were just about to have breakfast when we heard a scream from the barn. We were pretty sure it was a scream from a goat in pain, the kind of pain you get from giving birth. We rushed down to be greeted with the sight of two very wet and slippery kids lying in a huge mass of birthing fluids with dear Sorrell looking somewhat amazed and confused. It literally looked like both goats had come out one immediately after the other. We moved them to 'dryer land' and then suggested to a still 'dazed' Sorrel that she might like to start licking them dry. After a couple more minutes she 'came to' and began!!

The kids are one male (white) and one female (fawn) and they are a strong duo, the boy was up and searching for his milk within minutes; no help needed here!! Sorrel herself, after the initial shock, is being a great mum and she has plenty of milk. Her kids can just stand and drink whilst Onion's really have to bend down to get to her teats. They are the same size as Onion's kids too, despite bring two days younger, although as pure Anglo Nubians they are a l lot skinnier!
So, seven kids from three nannies: we are VERY happy!!
