We were rather chuffed to find that our blackbird has managed to hatch three of its four eggs. One of the chicks is about half the size of its siblings but with a mouth that appears twice as big!!! They fledge in around two weeks, incredible when you look at them now, (day two or three we reckon), virtually featherless, blind and totally reliant on their parents. If they need to, they can actually leave the nest in nine days and hide out so parents can still find them and feed them
We so hope they make it!!!!
