Waiting game!
It’s a bit of a waiting game at the moment with the sheep: Muckle, Mrs Brown and Bressay all gave birth on or before the magic 145 days! And then we have Whalsay who is now TEN days overdue, Mrs White who is four days overdue and Ness who is due tomorrow!!
We had this last year too with Lamorna being a grand 17 days over which is in fact, a full cycle. We know they will come when they are ready and as long the sheep themselves are okay, we won't worry (but we do, just a little bit)!!
Onion is due on 2nd May, just over a week away, we wonder whether she will beat any of the sheep to it??
Each night at the moment Mrs White can be found lying down on top of one of the mole hills opposite the shelter. The rest of the sheep are inside but she has her mole hill bed and she is happy with it!! The temperature has fallen the last few days, we are back to low teens during the day so maybe they are all waiting for it to warm back up again!!!
