The geese are finally named. We resorted to the wonders of Facebook and invited people in our Celebrating Smallholding UK Facebook group to give us some suggestions. We were inundated but in the end the choice was obvious.. and so meet Tom (out of shot but our lovely male), Barbara and Margo OR, as we like to call them, The Good Lifers!! The three of them continue to be perfect in every way, demanding very little attention from us and spending their days eating grass, washing and then totally chilling. They get an afternoon treat of corn and we have just started to give them a few layers pellets as well, topping up on their grass which of course won’t be as wholesome as it was. They are not that fussed about the pellets but adore their corn.
We are VERY excited at the thought of being able to hatch more goslings next year – just a few winter months to get through first!!
