Beady eyes!
It’s hard to concentrate on work when you are aware of beady eyes looking down on you from outside the study window!! This is one of our bronze poults who, this afternoon, flew up onto the pergola above our decking and then literally stood there staring down through the window at us, as we worked at our desks. Several others joined her before one of them suddenly panicked about something (as is their want) and they all took off.
Relaxed at Home
Such is their skill at flying that several of them made it all the way back into the poultry area without touching the ground – amazing. They aren't great flyers usually, relying more on lots of flapping and jumping up to gain height but this year’s lot have become quite proficient. Mind you, they do spend a lot of time out of the poultry paddock practising, so tis no wonder.
Going to miss these guys A LOT when they go (in just FOUR days!!)
