Farewell to more lambs
And today we sold four more lambs to Therese and Toby, who bought our goslings and three ducks from us a couple of weeks ago. They chose four of our five Shetland ewe lambs, all of whom are peas in a pod and we had difficulty telling apart (thank goodness for ear tags – and it’s not often we say that).
Relaxed at Home
The Collecting Area once more was perfect and amazingly the land had dried enough yesterday/today so Therese could drive onto it with their trailer without making too much of a mess!
We now have six lambs left: two ram lambs (Mrs White's and Skerry’s) and four ewe lambs (Mrs White's, Mrs Brown's, Ness's and Whalsay’s Suffolk Mule. In an ideal world we will want to keep just two/maybe three for the freezer so still need to sell three or four more.
We also have someone interested in some of our cows: still not totally sorted as to what we want to do so hopefully a visitor from a potential buyer might help!!
