His and Hers lunch!
A ‘his’ and ‘hers’ lunch with home-grown tomatoes, cucumber and salad leaves plus home-made bread. Our aims for next year will be that the cheese, once again, will be ours (made using milk from our own goats or cows).
We continue to eat our cucumbers on a daily basis and as the ‘hers’ lunch shows, we eat them very young. The beauty of growing your own is that you get to decide WHEN to pick and eat and if the plant is producing lots, then picking and eating young is fine. And of course, as is the case with many vegetables, the more you pick, the more the plant will produce.
